WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR DATE?
I take a date reservation fee/deposit of £250 to secure your date, fully deducted from the final invoice.
HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU DELIVER PER WEDDING?
It varies depending on your unique plans, timeline and package. For example, typically if you book my full day package, you can expect to receive an absolute minimum of 400 photos from your wedding day - often many, many more.
HOW LONG AFTER OUR WEDDING DAY WILL WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
All my couples receive their wedding photos within a maximum of 8-10 weeks of their wedding date during peak times - I spend a lot of time carefully editing these and usually have several on the go at once. If for any reason you’d like an express edit, this can be arranged for an additional fee. During off-season (outside of May-August) deliveries tend to be much quicker.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes! I work solely as a full-time photographer, also covering events and commercial work when I’m not shooting Weddings - I have Personal Liability Insurance, Indemnity Insurance and all my Gear is fully insured with back-ups available if required.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS ACROSS THE UK ?
Also yes, I’ve shot in England, Scotland, Wales and even Manchester - I’ll gladly attend your Wedding nearly anywhere in the UK!
CAN WE SEE MORE OF YOUR WORK?
Of course! There’s plenty to be found across my site, with Case Studies of both Weddings and Events regularly being posted to my Blog and a huge variety of alternative candid work to be found in my Event Photography Portfolio to give you a wider impression of the type of Photography you’ll receive
CAN WE ARRANGE A SEPARATE, DEDICATED VIDEOGRAPHER?
Absolutely! Although I can offer basic video packages as an extra, I do recommend having a dedicated videographer if video is something that’s important to you. I have a few recommended videographers I can put you in touch with, but have no problem at all working/collaborating with other vendors. I’d appreciate having their details beforehand so we can have a brief chat before the day, but that’s not a necessity!
DO WE NEED A SECOND SHOOTER?
Most of the time I cover my Weddings as the sole photographer - in my opinion it’s rare to need a second shooter, but let me know your plans and I can advise in more detail. In instances where you’re likely to have over 100 guests, or if multiple locations are involved in the morning and you’d like extensive coverage of both parties preparations, then yes, perhaps a second shooter would be required, but I’ve also managed to cover similar Weddings alone (with a bit of careful planning!)
HOW LONG WILL GROUP SHOTS / COUPLES PORTRAITS TAKE?
This depends on your party size and shot list - typically I’m not one to want to take over proceedings entirely for an extended period of time - in my experience around an hour in total covers both quite adequetly, but it’s more than possible to narrow that down to give you more time to enjoy your day with your guests.
WHAT IF IT RAINS (ON MY WEDDING DAY)?!
From my perspective, when I’m not photographing Weddings I like to photograph landscapes - I’ll work in absolutely any weather - obviously it’d be ideal to have a glorious sunny day, or perfect pre-sunset light, but we’ll be able to get great photos regardless of what the weather throws at us, trust me! Whether that means using artificial light indoors, or braving the storm outdoors, I’ve got tricks up my sleeve and a range of equipment to get the most out of any scenario.
CAN WE ‘. . .’ ?
